I got business cards printed!

When I’m taking photos at an event, people always ask whether I can send them a copy of their photo. Going home with a scribbled list of email addresses and Facebook names doesn’t work too well when I have hundreds of photos and struggle to remember who is who. A more experienced photographer gave me a tip for managing this situation:

1. Give them your contact details and put the responsibility for following up on them – half the people you give your email address to will never follow up. You’ve just halved your workload!
2. Give them the filename of the photo with them in it (e.g. IMG_8951), so you can easily find it in your archives.

I love sharing my photos, and I think these business cards will help me say thank you to more people for being interesting enough to photograph.
